What happened

Project GreenRoots is TechOrbit Foundation's plantation drive. The foundation asked us to organise it and to document it properly.

We settled the site and the schedule, made the arrangements for volunteers coming from across the company, and produced the foundation's branding for the day. The plan was built around planting through the morning rather than around a ceremony with some planting attached to it.

We photographed and filmed the drive, and produced the write-up and the social coverage that followed it.

Scope

The 6 things we ran

  • Event Strategy & Concept

The format, the audience and the reason for the day, settled before a venue is held or an invitation goes out.

  • Venue & Vendor Management

Sourcing the venue, holding the date and coordinating the suppliers who have to be on site and ready before anyone arrives.

  • Branding & Signage

Standees, badges, screen artwork and the printed pieces that carry the client's mark through the venue.

  • Photography & Videography

Stills and film shot on the day, edited and handed over as a set the client can use everywhere else.

  • Social Media Coverage

Posting through the day and the recap that runs afterwards, so the audience is larger than the room.

  • Public Relations & Storytelling

The write-up, the press contact and the account that carries an initiative to people who were not there.

What a plantation drive is worth depends on whether anything is still standing in three years, which no report written on the day can show. What the coverage does is make the commitment public, and a public commitment is harder to quietly drop.
